DELIVERY / PICKUP INFO

Our Umatie team will take a quick Christmas break from 20 Dec - 02 Jan. You can still place orders during the holidays (yay for planning ahead!) but our Umatie team will only start packing your delicious baby and kiddie meals from 2 January, with deliveries kicking off on 7 January.

Our factory is based in Stellenbosch and we offer TWO OPTIONS for getting your order to you safely. The first option is Air Freight. This service is our speedy option and your foodies will be with you in 2 working days (we are closed over weekends). As Air Freight fees have increased substantially over the last few months, we cannot offer free delivery on this service as part of promotions. Your delivery fee is also calculated based on the weight of the foodies ordered. As an added safety measure, all orders leaving our factory will be packed in an Umatie insulated box with gel ice packs. This mini-cooler keeps our foodies cold and safe when travelling for up to 8 hours. Once your order is received, please pop it into the freezer immediately!

Our second option is Road Freight. This service is our longer delivery option of 5-7 working days and your foodies will be transported in a temperature-controlled freezer vehicle. We offer free delivery on this service for larger orders as part of promotions. All orders for road freight will be packed in our insulated boxes with gel ice packs for safe travelling.

Please note that we don't offer Road Freight to George, KZN and PE.

We have a minimum order requirement of R300.

Orders that exceed R1200 will qualify for free delivery.

FOR CAPE TOWN

Main areas in Cape Town and surrounds
The delivery fee is between R85-R115, depending on where you are based. The website will calculate it when you enter your postal code. Allow 1-2 working days for your order to be delivered. We deliver Monday to Friday 10am-5pm. We are closed over weekends and these days are not part of the 1-2 working days. Best to place your order on weekdays before 8am for next day delivery.

Outlying areas in Cape Town
The delivery fee is between R85-R115. If you live in an outlying area, your delivery will take longer as the courier groups these deliveries. It also depends on when you order, but orders for outlying areas usually take 3-4 working days. We are closed over weekends and these days are not part of the 3-4 working days.

FOR OTHER AREAS

We deliver to Gauteng, Pretoria, KZN, Mosselbay, George and PE
The delivery cost will be calculated at check-out and based on your selected delivery option. We offer Air Freight (1-2 working days) and Road Freight (5-7 working days).

Air Freight deliveries are Tuesday to Friday 10am-5pm.
Road Freight deliveries are Tuesday 10am-5pm. The delivery cost is R135.

Your order will be prepared and packed in Cape Town. It will be sent to your area of choice via Air Freight or Road Freight and delivered to your door with our trusted courier.

If you place an order specifically for pickup from our factory, it will still take 1-2 days. We will notify you via email with a collection date. Please do not pop into our factory on the same day as when you placed your order, to collect it. Our team will unfortunately not be able to assist you.

We are based in the Cape Winelands, Stellenbosch. For customers outside of the Western Cape, who want to collect their order from our factory, insert our address in the address fields: 12 Stoffel Smit Road, Plankenbrug, Stellenbosch 7600. The "Pickup" option will pop up.

You are welcome to pop into our shopfront to buy foodies. They are the same price as our online store and are restocked daily. If you want to buy bulk, it would be better to place an online order for pickup as we do not carry bulk stock in the shop. If you place your order before 8am in the weekdays, we can have it ready the following day for collection. Please note that we cannot accept orders via whatsapp for the shopfront. Our team cannot custom-pick whatapp orders and have them ready for collection on the same day. The best would be to place an online order.

Unfortunately we do not deal with order related queries on social media, please reply to your email communications (orders@umatie.co.za) from us to ensure we deal with it swiftly.

Please ensure someone is available to receive your order during the communicated delivery times. Umatie reserves the right to charge a delivery fee equivalent to the initial delivery fee if re-delivery is required. Orders that qualify for free delivery will be charged a delivery fee if you are not available to receive your order as arranged.
